NB You have posted in the Writer forum - see the Calc forum =RANDBETWEEN(20 30) returns an integer in the range 20 to 30. To generate random numbers which never recalculate, copy cells containing this function and use Edit - Paste Special (with Paste All and Formulae not marked and Numbers marked). Returns an integer random number between integers Bottom and Top (both inclusive). Returns an integer random number in a specified range. =RAND() returns a random number in the range 0.0 to 1.0. To generate random numbers which never recalculate, copy cells each containing =RAND() and use Edit - Paste Special (with Paste All and Formulae not marked and Numbers marked). To force Calc to recalculate manually press Shift+Ctrl+F9. This function produces a new random number each time that Calc recalculates. ![]() ![]() Returns a random number in the range 0.0 to 1.0.
